iPhone 3G

Nothing Else to Say

With everyone and their foreign, long-lost distant cousins coveting this shiny new release, we figured that a list of our favorite reviews around "The Inter-Web" would be of terrific service to our brilliant faithful.

So here they are (in specific, totally objective, order of overall quality):

Christian Science Monitor

EnGadget

CNN

Some Other Guy on You Tube

Gizmodo

cNet

3GWeek

SlashGear

Cell-Phone-Tracker

Some Guy on You Tube

and etc. etc. etc.

So basically, guess what?  The reviews are favorable.

Apparently, Apple makes great products, markets well and is a company to emulate for good reason.  Meanwhile, Microsoft's "good enough" rule for new releases has driven them toward a van, down by the river.

Well, that about wraps it up.  Oh yeah, I almost forgot, in my blind mental 3G malaise, here are specs and pictures for those needing instant gratification (my mom won't let me get the white one, she says I always get my whites dirty):

3G Speed

3G gives you fast access to the Internet and email over your cellular network. And 3G makes it easier to multitask: When connected via 3G, you can surf the web even while you’re on a call.

With support for Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, iPhone delivers push email, calendar, and contacts right to your pocket.
Built-in GPS

GPS adds a new dimension to mobile phone mapping. Find your location, get directions, and track your progress along a route.

The App Store lets you browse applications and download them directly to your iPhone. Some applications are even free.

iPhone redefines what you can do on a mobile phone. Tap a number to make a call. Listen to voicemail in any order with Visual Voicemail.

iPhone is an equally brilliant iPod. Enjoy music, videos, and more on the 3.5-inch color display and browse by album artwork with Cover Flow.

iPhone features rich HTML email, Maps with GPS, and Safari — the most advanced web browser ever on a portable device.

Actually, it is more expensive to own than the original iPhone.

Plans are more expensive. Forget that marketing mumbo-jumbo about a lower purchase price.
